NEW YORK, 07/14/2003 -- XOsoft, a leading provider of Business Continuity software solutions, today announced that PowerDsine, a leading developer of solutions for the delivery of operating power over converged voice and data communication networks, has successfully employed XOsoft's state-of-the-art WANSync solutions for disaster and data corruption recovery. WANSync has been implemented to serve as a global business continuity platform for disaster recovery and ensure high availability of mission critical data and applications. The solution synchronizes entire critical information servers to remote replicas, and keeps them fresh and available with continuous, real-time replication.
Three business continuity solutions, WANSync Exchange, WANSync Oracle and WANSync Server (for Microsoft Exchange, Oracle and file servers, respectively), have been deployed on PowerDsine master servers.
This ensures complete disaster immunity of the company's communications infrastructure, its PDM (Product Data Management) system and its periodic ERP system backup archives, all of which are continuously replicated to both local LAN-based and remote WAN-based replicas in real time.

PowerDsine has implemented a host of unique WANSync features as part of their complete solution. WANSync was installed on three master servers that are now replicated to a single replica over LAN, and then to an additional replica over WAN. PowerDsine is also able to control the bandwidth dedicated to the replication of incremental updates. To keep as much bandwidth as possible available during the day, PowerDsine schedules incremental replication to non-working hours. Data is compressed and asynchronously replicated to ensure continuous availability, even during downtime or when disaster strikes.
"WANSync was the only solution that would allow us to simply "rewind" corrupted servers, to easily roll back changes and return replicas to the precise, consistent state they were in before corruption occurred," claims Yaron Rachmany, PowerDsine's IT Manager.
