Leading video solution company appoints COO, VP of Operations and VP of Engineering
SAN FRANCISCO, 03/01/2007 -- It was announced today that VideoEgg, Inc. has appointed Lee Kirkpatrick as chief operating officer and chief financial officer, Nick Heyman as vice president of operations, and Lonhyn Jasinskyj as vice president of engineering. VideoEgg is the leading video solution for online communities, supported by the largest video ad network. The company has more than quadrupled in size in the past year and continues to grow in order to meet the increasing demands of the business and become the leading online video solution for social networks and online communities.

As COO and CFO of VideoEgg, Kirkpatrick is responsible for finance and operations. He joins VideoEgg from Kodak EasyShare Gallery (formerly Ofoto) where he was COO of the world's leading online photofinishing service. During his seven years with Ofoto/Kodak, Kirkpatrick led various aspects of the business including finance, operations and international. He joined Ofoto as its CFO and was instrumental in its early financings and sale to Kodak. Kirkpatrick was previously CFO of iOwn, Inc., an online mortgage firm that was sold to Citibank, and CFO for Hyperparallel, a data mining company that was sold to Yahoo! Kirkpatrick spent nine years at Reuters America where he held various senior roles in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and divisional finance and operations.
Heyman comes to VideoEgg from Facebook and Friendster, two of the leading social networks in the country. He most recently served as director of operations at Facebook where he was responsible for scaling the infrastructure of the web site to handle the growth from two million to more than 14 million users. Heyman began his career in IT working for the secretary of the State of Rhode Island where he helped to build and launch one of the first web-based legislative tracking systems in the U.S.
Jasinskyj is responsible for VideoEgg's product development, engineering process and operational readiness in his new position as vice president of engineering. He has more than 25 years of engineering and management experience and previously served as senior director of software development at IronPort Systems, a leader in the Internet gateway security space. During his time with IronPort, the company grew from 25 to more than 450 people and became the market leader in email and network security appliances and spam and malware prevention systems. Prior to IronPort, Jasinskyj was a founder and CTO of Lohika, one of the largest offshore software development companies in Eastern Europe. His previous experience includes starting and leading the engineering team for a product division at TIW Systems and eight years at NASA's Ames Research Center in the supercomputing and scientific visualization fields.
