New York City, August 16, 1999 -- Bowne Internet's latest Web site, for Fleet Capital's equipment finance and leasing unit, has just gone live. Bowne incorporated a number of innovations for the leasing industry into the Web site (www.fleetcapitalcorp.com) to help Fleet Capital build stronger links with its customers. These include a secure "client workspace" that enables customers to exchange information such as proposals, lease documents and status memos with Fleet, and an easy-to-use payment calculator that helps visitors determine their best finance solution.

The client workspace is a virtual office the customer shares with Fleet Capital. Secured with an individual password, it can be used to communicate with Fleet Capital representatives (all inquiries and correspondence will be stored for the customer's reference) and to organize and store transaction records, status memos, proposals, legal documents, sales presentations and fact sheets. It saves Fleet Capital customers time and effort by simplifying the loan application and processing activities. The payment calculator enables potential customers exploring the various financing options available to find the solution most appropriate to their needs, preparing them for more informed discussions with Fleet's account managers.
