We are looking for smart, industry savvy professionals to work with our growing roster of consumer and B2B technology companies. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience (some of that in an agency setting), have mastered the ability to work within a team and direct staff, and have developed and maintained high-level business, trade and consumer media and influencer contacts. Strong writing skills are a must. Account Executives at Connors serve as the day-to-day client contact and provide counsel, feedback and continually “market back” our successes. They help to develop and implement highly creative and strategic PR plans and then translate that strategy to tactical tasks such as media outreach, press material development, etc. Account Executives work with account managers to develop big picture skills vis a vis strategic planning, client development, forecasting and managing account budgets. In addition, they help to develop story angles and then actively pursue media to secure press results. AEs serve as the resident expert on their clients, the competitive environment, and other related subjects.

We are looking for smart, savvy individuals who want to learn the basic skills needed for a successful public relations/communications career. Individuals should have a working knowledge or interest in emerging technologies, strong computer skills and exceptional interpersonal and writing skills. This individual will work closely with PR pros to develop media contact lists, coordinate meetings, manage press clippings, support online marketing initiatives and provide overall assistance in the execution of major public relations and media-relations campaigns. This person will also have the opportunity to grow their creative skills through pitch letters, press releases, and brainstorming sessions. Our ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with a minimum of one previous internship in a related field. Must have excellent writing skills, demonstrate a keen interest in working with the media, perform well under deadlines, and understand technology and the Internet. Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations necessary. We are looking for smart, technology-minded individuals who would like to gain experience in search engine optimization and marketing campaigns. Candidates should have a working knowledge or interest in emerging technologies, strong technical aptitude, and good writing skills. This individual will work closely with the SEO Account Executive to implement search optimization and marketing campaigns for our clients. Other responsibilities include preparing weekly and monthly reports used by the account management team to analyze the success of online marketing efforts, maintain sales and other industry contact databases and create and edit web pages as needed. Our ideal candidate will be either a recent college graduate or a college senior majoring in a computer-related or writing-related field; have a strong technical aptitude including the ability to hand code HTML, working knowledge of JavaScript, ASP, PHP, and/or Linux a plus, comfortable using Word, Excel and Outlook, and some basic knowledge of Photoshop or Fireworks; have the ability to work on multiple projects with minimum supervision, takes direction well and shows a willingness to learn, and is an effective communicator with good writing skills. Connors’ full-time internships are for a maximum period of three months. We do not provide living quarters so out-of-town candidates should indicate in their cover letter if they have housing available during the internship.
